Karlotta Bartels

Karlotta studied Molecular Life Sciences at the University of Hamburg. In her PhD, she focuses on CAR-based immunotherapies against tumors by taking advantage of senescence. She is especially interested in better understanding and adjusting CAR NK cell signaling. Outside the lab, she enjoys to live in Tübingen and to play Viola.
Josef Brändle

Josef studies medicine at the University of Tübingen. In his doctoral thesis, he is working on modifying the transcriptional landscape of CAR T cells to enhance a persistent memory phenotype associated with long-term remissions after CAR T cell therapy. Outside the lab, he explores the Alps in all seasons and loves playing spikeball and volleyball
Nadine Brückner

Nadine was trained in Molecular Medicine at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg. She joined the Leibold lab as a PhD student to study immunosenescence, immune cell ageing and dysfunction to improve the efficacy of cellular therapies. In her spare time, Nadine enjoys reading, visiting her friends and exploring Tübingen.
Philip Bucher

Philip studied biochemistry in Tübingen. After doing his PhD in the lab of Stephan Hailfinger with a focus on B cell lymphoma and cell signaling, he finally joined Team JJ in September 2021. In his free time, he enjoys cooking and eating a lot. To keep the balance, he also likes cycling, reading and traveling.
Viktoria Dimanova

Viktoria is currently pursuing her double degree in Molecular Medicine (M. Sc.) and Medicine at the University of Tübingen. For her master’s thesis she is focusing on integrating CAR T cell therapy and senescence to improve leukaemia treatment. Outside the lab, she enjoys cooking and baking, singing and (occasionally) going to the gym.
Meshkat Dinarvand

Meshkat earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from Tehran University of Medical Sciences. She has been working as a researcher in the field of Nanomedicine and Biotechnology ever since. She earned her PhD from the University of Göttingen working on fluorescent nanosensors to detect immune cell communications. She is interested in RNA therapeutics and nano-based drug delivery systems in cancer treatment. She loves cooking and hiking in her free time.
Margot Faller

Margot was trained in cell biology and microscopy as a cytology assistant. After 10 years she was looking for new challenges and decided to go to Medical Technicians School in Tübingen where she was trained as a medical lab technician. Now she specializes in cloning, cell culture and IHC. In her free time Margot enjoys traveling, climbing, hiking and other sports.
Melanie Grimm

Melanie went to Freiburg for 5 years after her training, where she worked as a laboratory manager in a research group for Asthma & COPD. She returned to Tübingen in 2012, working in a research group in dermatology and then in biochemistry for almost 7 years. Since March 2021 she has been working as a technician at Feucht Lab. In her spare time you can usually find her coaching a track and field competition group, otherwise she likes to read, do puzzles or go out for hiking.
Steffen Hardy

Steffen was trained in Biochemistry at the University of Tübingen focusing on microscopic imaging techniques. He joined the Feucht Lab investigating senolytic CAR T cells to improve therapy of solid tumors. In his free time, he travels, hikes around Tübingen and loves cooking with friends.

Kim completed her studies in Molecular Medicine at the University of Tübingen. After her master's thesis, she stayed in our lab to continue with her PhD. She is interested in tailoring the cGMP signaling pathway in CAR T cells to improve the therapeutic efficacy of cellular immunotherapies. Outside the lab, Kim enjoys ballet, traveling, and watching different kinds of sports events.

She continues studying genetic subtype specific cytokine/chemokine expression profiles and their role in immune cell interaction in gastric cancer. Outside the lab she enjoys playing volleyball, skating, baking and knitting.

Hannah Wurzer

Hannah studied Molecular Medicine at the Medical University of Innsbruck and the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm. In her PhD studies at the Luxembourg Institute of Health, she explored actin cytoskeletal dynamics and immune evasion strategies at the tumour side of the immunological synapse. She joined the Feucht Lab to explore strategies to improve efficacy of CAR T cells in the context of malignant and non-malignant senescence and the immunosuppressive tumour microenvironment. In her free time, Hannah likes reading, rowing, boardgames, and hiking long-distance trails all across Europe.
